Role OverviewIn this position, you will support core accounting and finance functions by coordinating daily financial activities, analyzing data, and ensuring processes run efficiently. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reporting and forecasting activities. This role blends hands‑on accounting responsibilities with cross‑functional collaboration, making it a strong fit for someone with a foundation in accounting or bookkeeping who is ready to expand their impact.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner across financial systems.
- Perform account reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and assist with month‑end and periodic close processes to maintain accurate financial records.
- Analyze financial data to support reporting, forecasting, and planning activities; contribute to management reports by identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Review and validate invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy in quantities, pricing, and compliance with internal standards.
- Work with internal teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies, answer financial inquiries, and ensure smooth coordination across departments.
- Identify inefficiencies in financial workflows and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and consistency.
- Leverage accounting platforms and financial systems to manage transactions, maintain records, and support reporting needs.
- Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance, with hands‑on experience in transactional processes and reconciliations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization, analysis, and basic functions; comfortable navigating accounting systems and financial tools.
- Ability to review financial information with precision, ensuring accuracy across all transactions and reports.
- Skilled at identifying discrepancies, interpreting financial data, and supporting informed decision‑making.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and communicate financial information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
This role is well suited for professionals with prior experience in accounting or financial operations who are comfortable working within structured systems and processes. Familiarity with enterprise accounting platforms (such as Oracle or similar systems) is highly valuable.
