Family Office Investment Analyst

Hybrid model: 3 days in office, 2 days work from home

This is an unparalleled opportunity to join the investment arm of an elite Fin Tech-focused family office. The Investment Analyst will focus on new investment analysis, portfolio monitoring across direct, fund and public positions, and development of an AI-native reporting and analytics infrastructure.

The family office invests in venture and growth-stage Fin Tech companies alongside top institutional co‑investors, and benefits from one of the most valuable proprietary Fin Tech datasets in the industry — accumulated across 20+ years of exclusive focus on the sector.

In this role, you will work side‑by‑side with the Managing Partner and senior leadership.

The Investment Analyst will gain deep exposure to private and public Fin Tech and AI investing, portfolio construction, and the application of AI and automation to investment workflows. You will see investment opportunities at every stage — from early‑stage venture to growth equity to public markets — and will operate in a small, high‑trust team with direct access to the Managing Partner.

The AI, analytics, and automation component of this role is equally weighted to investment analysis, giving the right candidate a rare opportunity to combine investing with hands‑on technical building.

• Conduct business, market, and financial diligence on new Fin Tech investment opportunities; build bottoms‑up models, returns analyses, and investment memos
• Monitor and report on the full Roofdeck portfolio — direct investments, fund LP positions (TVPI, DPI, IRR, NAV), and public market holdings
• Maintain and manage the proprietary deal pipeline and portfolio tracking systems; develop key analyses using the data
• Design and build automated reporting pipelines and interactive dashboards using Claude, Claude Code, Python, and similar AI‑native tooling
• Implement agentic AI workflows (e.g., MCP servers, Claude Code hooks) to automate research, diligence, and synthesis tasks
• Utilize portfolio and transaction data to generate proprietary market signals and surface new client opportunities for the Investment Banking team
• Develop subject matter expertise across Fin Tech sectors — payments, lending, wealth, capital markets technology, insurtech, and crypto

• The start date for this position is immediate
• 1 – 3 years experience in investment banking, venture/growth equity, or a data/analytics role with meaningful financial modeling exposure
• Demonstrated, hands‑on proficiency with AI coding tools — Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent; must be able to show prior work
• Strong Python skills for data analysis, modeling automation, and workflow scripting (pandas, Num Py, SQL, Jupyter)
• Strong interest in finance, Fin Tech, and applying AI / automation to investment workflows
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
