Trust Accounting Administrator; State Division Administrator

Job Summary

We are looking for a leader to serve as the Trust Accounting Administrator, responsible for planning and directing the operational needs of the Trust Accounting Division within the Trust Accounting and Operations Bureau.

• Provide overall planning and direction for the Trust Accounting Division.
• Oversee investment settlement and custodian functions.
• Collect interest, dividends and principal payments.
• Process transactions and maintain accounting records.
• Produce year-end reporting and reconciliation for the Bureau’s fiduciary responsibilities over the State’s multi-billion-dollar pension and trust portfolios.

• Bachelor’s degree in any major.
• At least two years of experience as a professional manager or program/staff specialist, or equivalent.
• Professional experience post-degree is counted as qualifying experience.

• Independent out-of-state travel by air, train, car, taxi, bus, or ship may be required, including overnight or extended stays.
• Remote work is available up to five days per week; occasional onsite work may be required.
• Must be able to work in the state of Michigan; relocation is required for out-of-state candidates.

• The Michigan Department of Treasury participates in E-Verify.
