About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Operations Associate to join our Loan Servicing and Debt Recovery team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing bankruptcy timelines, overseeing attorney activity, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines. You’ll work closely with attorneys, trustees, and bankruptcy courts to help protect company assets, minimize losses, and improve operational performance.

If you’re experienced in bankruptcy and mortgage servicing, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy solving complex problems with accuracy and professionalism, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Monitor and manage bankruptcy loan activity to ensure compliance with all regulatory, state, and investor requirements.
  • Review and approve legal documents; coordinate with counsel for motions and trustee actions.
  • Process Proofs of Claim and Transfers of Claim within strict deadlines.
  • Review debtor schedules and repayment plans to ensure payments are properly posted.
  • Manage contested files and lien strip cases.
  • Handle debtor complaints from start to resolution, including CFPB and BBB submissions.
  • Assist with service of process requests via email and the CSC portal.
  • Manage State Licensing exams for mortgage servicing and debt collection licenses.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in bankruptcy and 4 years in mortgage servicing (default servicing required).
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of PACER and payment history reconciliation.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities; excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, with sound judgment and the ability to work independently.
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a collaborative team that values precision, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Work on meaningful cases that directly impact company performance.
  • Gain exposure to bankruptcy law, loan servicing, and legal processes.
  • Hybrid/remote flexibility (occasional travel to Fort Worth, TX, less than 10%).
