About the Role

Within Armanino’s CFO Advisory Practice, this role supports financial due diligence and transaction advisory engagements for CFOs and private equity investors, leading teams across buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct Financial Due Diligence, including preparation of Quality of Earnings reports.
  • Collaborate with diverse colleagues to serve clients in financial accounting matters and business processes:
    Purchase Price Accounting, Deal Structuring, Integration & Support, and IP Sales.
  • Prepare financial statements for acquisitions, carve‑outs, proposed sale transactions, restatements, etc., including footnote disclosures.
  • Lead buy‑side and sell‑side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence assistance to companies and private equity investors.
  • Manage and coordinate client approach, engagement teams, and third‑party diligence providers throughout the transaction process.
  • Analyze target company data to identify historical and projected financial/trading trends, quality of earnings, working‑capital considerations, and potential liabilities/risks.
  • Create and design tailored transaction advisory reports on issues such as normalized earnings, valuation model inputs, management budget achievability, and indebtedness considerations.
  • Oversee and execute delivery of services and deliverables around Operational and Technical Accounting, including Accounting Policies & Procedures, Financial Statement Close Process, and Process & Controls Implementation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop CFO Advisory team members; participate in performance reviews.
  • Build team culture and environment for scaling a hyper‑growth consulting business.
  • Cultivate relationships with senior executives at client companies and private equity sponsors, leveraging them to generate new projects.
  • Support the business development team with client delivery or sector‑specific expertise.
  • Foster a culture of growth and a business‑development mindset.
  • Act as a thought leader in the market, delivering high‑quality, fact‑driven, solution‑oriented consulting services that meet A+ Execution standards.
  • Supervise execution teams, providing senior project leadership and managing evolving client needs.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or another Business‑related field (required).
  • Minimum 10years of relevant professional experience in a client‑serving role at a top‑tier public accounting or financial advisory firm, and/or senior‑level private‑industry experience.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in client advisory on financial accounting issues and significant business events (mergers, acquisitions, carve‑outs).
  • Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, management, analytical, decision‑making, and research skills.
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, balancing client/sponsor dynamics and internal team dynamics.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues and solutions effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort in a fluid, flat organization.
  • Flexibility to work from home while collaborating in person half the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA designation.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation range: $200,000 – $240,000, with potential discretionary long‑term incentive plan participation based on role, skills, and location.
