About the Role:

As a BIA Insolvency Counsellor, you will provide federally mandated counseling sessions to debtors navigating insolvency. This role is about more than compliance; it’s about guiding individuals with empathy, equipping them with practical tools, and supporting their journey toward long-term financial wellness.

This position is open for those seeking a part-time position with flexibility to match their lifestyle, and also to those seeking full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver first and second BIA-mandated counseling sessions via phone, video, or in person.
  • Support debtors in setting financial goals and developing sustainable budgeting strategies.
  • Provide clear, compassionate guidance throughout the insolvency process.
  • Manage a daily counseling schedule with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Contribute to related tasks as needed to ensure a high-quality debtor experience.
What You Bring
  • Registered BIA Insolvency Counsellor designation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a clear, empathetic communication style.
  • Ability to autonomously manage a high volume of tasks and work in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and openness to new software.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
