Role OverviewThe CPA will serve as the financial architect for:
- Freelancing Factory (micro‑prime operations)
- The Dirigo Renewal Endeavor (corridor‑scale economic OS)
- Multi‑entity industrial, digital, and sovereign‑stack projects
This role blends traditional accounting, Gov Con compliance, corridor‑level financial modeling, and strategic advisory across a rapidly scaling ecosystem.
This is a hybrid role based in Maine with flexibility for partial remote work.
Key Responsibilities Financial Architecture- Build and maintain multi‑entity financial systems across the DRE corridor
- Oversee general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and multi‑entity consolidations
- Develop corridor‑scale financial models, forecasts, and capital stack structures
- Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS‑adjacent principles, and federal audit standards
- Support micro‑purchase, SAP, and subcontracting financial workflows
- Maintain audit‑safe invoice ontology aligned with IRC §162 and IRS Notice 2023‑63
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax filings
- Advise on tax‑efficient structuring for corridor‑scale initiatives
- Support R&D‑exempt, non‑development financial classification
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes
- Build cash‑flow systems for multi‑entity operations
- Support audits, due diligence, and capital raises
- Advise leadership on financial strategy, risk, and compliance
- Work with operations, HR, legal, and corridor leadership
- Support financial reporting for industrial, digital, and sovereign‑stack projects
- Provide clear, actionable insights to non‑financial stakeholders
- Active CPA license (or near‑term eligibility)
- Mastery of GAAP, financial statements, and multi‑entity accounting
- Strong tax preparation experience (individual + business)
- Ability to build and interpret complex financial models
- Experience managing deadlines in fast‑moving environments
- Exceptional clarity in written and verbal communication
- Gov Con, municipal, or public‑sector accounting experience
- Experience with SaaS‑enabled or tech‑driven environments
- Familiarity with corridor‑scale or multi‑entity financial operations
- Background in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, energy, etc.)
- Experience with audits, capital stacks, or economic development finance
