Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Internal Auditor with a strong foundation in external audit-preferably from a Big Four accounting firm-to join our Internal Audit team. This role will focus on a blend of issue validation and internal audit work with a heavy emphasis on regulatory reporting and banking finance topics, including transactional testing, 10-Q filings, and FR Y-14.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and lead internal audits and issue validation processes across finance and regulatory reporting domains.
• Perform transactional and substantive testing related to key financial disclosures and bank reporting (e.g., 10Q, FR Y-14, loan data).
• Evaluate and validate findings, ensure issues are remediated appropriately, and update documentation in line with audit standards.
• Engage in BAU audit activities across Finance MDM, FP&A, and other reporting functions.
• Partner with key finance and accounting stakeholders to assess risks, internal controls, and process improvements.
• Lead ad hoc reviews and deep dives into emerging risk areas within the finance organization.
• Prepare high-quality audit documentation and communication materials, including audit reports, issue validations, and executive summaries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices in bank reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
• 3-7 years of experience in external audit, ideally with a Big Four firm, combined with internal audit or issue validation experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, technical accounting principles, and financial control frameworks.
• Demonstrated expertise in substantive testing, internal controls assessment, and financial systems/processes.
• Familiarity with financial regulatory filings such as 10-Q, FR Y-14, and similar bank reporting requirements.
• Exceptional written communication and documentation skills-a critical requirement for this role.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to Finance MDM and FP&A processes.
• Audit experience spanning multiple finance units or business lines within a banking institution.
• Track record of working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and regulatory teams.
