Financial Manager
Job Description for our largest Service Line in Europe Africa, we are looking for a Regional Finance Business Partner to join the EUAF Marine Site Characterisation (MSC) and Finance Leadership Team. In this key role, you act as a strategic sparring partner to senior business leadership, steering financial performance across the Geotech service line and MSC as a whole. You drive value through insightful analysis, robust business control, and proactive identification of risks and opportunities.
With ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, you enable informed decision‑making, margin improvement, and sustainable growth.
- You act as Finance Business Partner for the Geotech Service Line and play a leading role in the EUAF MSC Business Line and Finance Leadership Team;
- You serve as strategic sparring partner to the MSC Director and MSC Geotech Director;
- You lead and further develop the business control and project control teams across the Netherlands, UK, and Germany, aligned with standardised finance structures;
- You drive margin, cost and productivity improvements based on leading business indicators and financial analysis;
- You identify risks and opportunities, ensure strong control of large projects and investments;
- You collaborate closely with the Geophysics Service Line Controller to strengthen controlling across total MSC;
- You proactively advise and challenge the business on operational performance and short- and long‑term strategy, co‑leading the strategy and multi‑year planning process;
- You identify risks and opportunities, ensure strong control of large projects and investments, and drive margin, cost, and productivity improvements
- You have a MSc. degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Economics or Business Administration and preferably a certification in control (e.g. RA, ACCA, RC);
- You have extensive relevant experience in FP&A or Business Control preferably in project organisations;
- You understand major business drivers as well as the impact that organisational structure and process have on operations;
- With your pragmatic, holistic, critical and challenging approach you know how to assist the organisation go up the maturity ladder for business controlling;
- You know how to build strong relationships at senior level, both external as well as internal and can function effectively in a matrix organisation;
- You are a real facilitator who knows how to bridge the various interests in the company (Business Lines and Functional teams) that results in improved business performance.
