Associate Actuary – ALM Modeling
This role focuses on End-to-End Asset Liability Management (ALM) capabilities within Prudential’s Finance and Actuarial organization, supporting transformation projects and managing upstream/downstream infrastructure for enterprise-level use cases such as P , AAT, and long-term assumptions.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and maintain automated production processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in ALM modeling and enterprise long-term assumptions.
- Implement and validate ALM modeling infrastructure changes for Asset Adequacy Testing (AAT), capital, P , GAAP assumptions, economic scenarios, and other ALM purposes, primarily using Python and SQL.
- Collaborate with business partners throughout Prudential to ensure adherence to corporate governance, controls, and documentation policies and procedures.
- Prioritize, plan, and execute multiple work efforts simultaneously to meet competing deadlines for AAT, P , and GAAP reporting.
- 3+ years of actuarial, ALM, and/or modeling experience, preferably in an insurance company context.
- Strong programming skills in Python, VBA, and SQL (C# is a plus).
- Ability to analyze quantitative data and assess situations promptly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
- Progression toward actuarial credentials such as ASA or FSA.
- Preferred:
Experience with asset and reinvestment modeling.
Salary range: $ – $. Base salary plus potential yearly bonus at every level.
