About the Role
The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI seeks a Fund Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations and resolve accounting issues for private equity and hedge fund clients. The role ensures accurate reporting, compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and delivery of timely client packages.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the main contact for clients, demonstrating expertise in offshore and domestic fund accounting.
- Manage fund delegations, coordinate onboarding and setup of new funds, and liaise with internal teams.
- Lead and support year‑end audit engagements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Conduct due diligence to verify client compliance with government laws and regulations, and adhere to Anti‑Money Laundering policies.
- Generate, reconcile, and approve month‑end valuation reports, authorizing wire payments from escrow accounts.
- Respond to day‑to‑day client inquiries, resolve issues with transfer agents, service teams, technology and vendor support.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide career pathing and training, and manage staffing needs including hiring.
- Support business development by participating in prospect calls, client visits, and presentations.
- Facilitate onboarding of new clients by gathering requirements and communicating deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the fund services industry with alternatives experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.

The base salary for this role is $105,000 – $130,000 per year and is eligible for a discretionary yearly bonus at company discretion.
