Your RoleAs a Workday Financials Principal Consultant, you will leverage your deep expertise across the Workday Financials work streams to lead deployments, support current and prospective customers in the sales process, contribute to the evolution of Alchemy's deployment methodology, and mentor junior colleagues.
Responsibilities- Lead the Record to Report Workday Financials pillar and associated specialties:
Financial Accounting, FDM, and Budgets - Gather customer business requirements, design and configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist in testing the Workday solution, and complete knowledge transfer to customers
- Develop compelling tenant solutions that demonstrate the value of Workday's Financials product suite and speak cross-functionally to Workday HCM and Workday Payroll
- Provide end-to-end solution and design details during the sales process
- Support the proposal process, including providing quality assurance for respective service areas through delivery of the project
- Accurately estimate effort and resources required to complete projects
- Promote best practice knowledge sharing across practices
- Stay up to date with current and projected industry trends
- Mentor and guide junior colleagues
- Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications
- Workday Financial Certification
- Workday Financials subject matter expert in Record to Report:
Financial Accounting, FDM, and/or Budgets - Significant end-to-end Workday Financials implementation experience and ability to recognize and problem-solve downstream impacts within Workday HCM and Workday Payroll
- Strong preference for active Workday Financials partner certifications; recertifying consideration may apply
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to identify and analyze areas of risk and develop plans to minimize
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong storytelling capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
- Higher Education (college/university) experience
- Presales, sales, or oral experience
- Cross-functional experience or certifications in Workday HCM and/or Workday Payroll
