This position is eligible for annual and long-term incentive awards. The annual incentive opportunity is 0-60% of salary and is based on the level of achievement against several quantitative and qualitative measures. The long-term incentive program provides an additional opportunity of 0-60% of base salary beginning after five years and when absolute total fund returns meet or exceed board-approved thresholds.

Job Description And DutiesThe CalPERS Investment Office (INVO) is seeking an individual to fill the position of Associate Investment Manager, Infrastructure, who will be principally responsible for sourcing and underwriting new investment opportunities, managing the existing portfolio, and conducting research and strategic planning.
CalPERS is one of the world’s largest investors in the private infrastructure market, investing in companies operating in a diverse array of sectors such as telecommunications, power and energy, and transportation among others. This individual will play an important role in helping manage and grow the portfolio.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Assist the Investment Manager in the day-to-day management of the existing portfolio and in underwriting new investments across commingled funds, co-investments, and separate accounts.
- Develop and maintain fluency and knowledge of the infrastructure market including assigned managers, portfolios, operating and shareholder agreements.
- Participate in strategic planning and portfolio reporting projects, and in making recommendations to Senior Management and Investment Committees.
Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
