Financial Analyst, Transformation

Job Summary

Cogeco is actively seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team as a key navigator during our three‑year strategic transformation. In this role you will own the narrative of our evolution, bridging financial theory with operational reality.

• Take full ownership of financial modeling, building business cases and rigorously challenging assumptions to ensure maximum ROI.
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify and quantify untapped revenue streams and cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Act as translator between business needs and technical execution, working with the BI team to design dashboards and automate recurring reports.
• Understand variances by collaborating with operations teams after reporting.
• Help establish North Star KPIs, monitoring metrics closely to safeguard long‑term business health.
• Track financial performance, provide forecasts, and compile analysis to guide decision making and set strategy.
• Research and communicate risks and opportunities in close meetings.
• Build business relationships and implement initiatives with operational teams to optimize costs.
• Improve business models as part of transformation processes.
• Create presentation materials to communicate results and actions.
• Attend weekly/bi‑weekly staff meetings, communicating financial topics proactively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive short‑ and long‑term objectives.
• Facilitate ongoing compliance with internal procedures, policies and best practices.
• Complete other projects and analyses as needed.

• 3‑5+ years of experience in a finance‑related role; industry experience not required.
• Undergraduate degree in a business‑related field with emphasis on finance and/or accounting (CPA or Master’s degree a plus).
• Proficient with accounting principles, financial terms, budgets and reports.
• Bilingualism (FRA/ENG) required.
• High maturity, honesty, trust and integrity.
• Ability to partner with all organization levels.
• Self‑starter, creative thinker with strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Google and Microsoft suite.
• Proficient with financial systems (Workday experience a plus).
