FPU seeks an experienced financial aid‑based professional to serve as the next Senior Director of Financial Aid (SDFA). The SDFA will supervise a full office staff which provides important financial services to all FPU students. Reporting to the VP of Enrollment Management, the SDFA has oversight, direction, and management of the University’s federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, including need‑based grants, student loans, work‑study, and other sources of financial aid.

Experience in financial aid and related regulations in non‑profit higher education environments is essential, and experience at institutions that include NCAA division I or II models is highly desirable. The Senior Director will join the FPU family at a time of positive change and entrepreneurial focus.

Relocation is available, and while ideally this is an on‑campus position, a flexible or fully remote work schedule is possible depending on the candidate. FPU offers competitive wages and benefits packages, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 403(b) retirement plan through TIAA, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, educational benefits (for employee and qualifying dependents), pet insurance, accident insurance, critical illness coverage, travel discounts, 160 hours of paid time off (PTO), with additional paid sick time for your well‑being, and paid holidays.

FPU is committed to enhancing the diversity of its community in many realms and is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).

The Director must have good organizational and interpersonal skills, along with strengths in verbal and written communication. The DFA is expected to have a working knowledge of federal reporting, specifically FISAP, IPEDS, and FVT/GE, as well as A-133 audits, ideally NH state aid programs, and VA benefits. The Director should also have experience with financial aid software systems, including annual setup, system automation, auto‑packaging and more, preferably using Power Faids and Jenzabar.
