Domestic Manager – State & Local Tax

As a member of the Domestic Tax team, the Manager will oversee state tax projects, provide innovative tax planning, and lead state tax accounting and compliance activities. The position reports to the Domestic Tax leadership and ensures high-quality deliverables for federal and state income, franchise, sales, and property taxes.

• Manage and lead state tax work including accounting, SOX, legislative change, and compliance.
• Develop, mentor, and supervise team members.
• Independently solve complex problems and develop high-quality solutions.
• Summarize and communicate complex information in clear messages.
• Develop perspectives on state tax trends and their impact on the company.
• Collaborate with cross‑jurisdictional tax teams to build comprehensive strategies.
• Maintain relationships with key McAfee stakeholders.
• Leverage technology and innovation to increase efficiency.
• Continuously develop new skills beyond current expertise.

• Proven ability to analyze unstructured data and make leadership recommendations.
• Experience with multistate tax issues and controversies.
• Minimum 9 years of tax experience, including at least 6 years in a state tax managerial role.
• Progressive technical experience supporting a large multinational company.
• Broad knowledge of partnership tax accounting and compliance.
• Proficiency in modeling and tools such as Alteryx.
• BA, BS, or BBA preferred;
  Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting a plus.
• Active Certified Public Accountant license a plus.

Hybrid – Frisco, TX office with remote work from a home office. Career consideration limited to candidates within commuting distance of Frisco, TX. No relocation assistance offered.

Starting pay range: $107,430 – $176,490 per year.
