Job Description
Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will support the accurate and timely preparation and reporting financial information to leadership teams. This position will be key in completing reconciliations, analysis of general ledger accounts, monthly journal entries and needed financial reports.
Responsibilities- Create and enter manual journal entries and prepare reconciliations for month end close and maintain supporting work papers and analyses.
- Coordinate monthly billings related to centralized charges and work with company legal entities to ensure proper recording of such charges.
- Perform account analysis of various general ledger accounts.
- Identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to meet Company and Government reporting requirements.
- Support field work of internal and external auditors.
- Participate in department and/or cross-functional projects and provide other ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Engage with technical teams and other resources working on Oracle and process improvement initiatives to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to two days a week. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting plus four (4) or more years of relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and cost accounting theories and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of linked spreadsheets, data downloads, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and balance multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work productively in a team and independently.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Prior experience with Oracle financial applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Power Point) including advanced functions.
- Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management software.
- Knowledge of One Stream software.
Familiarity with data analytics tools (Domo, Power BI, Power Query). - Advanced Excel Skills.
- Prior public accounting experience.
- CPA and/or CMA certification(s).
