Job Title:

Financial Consultant, Personal Lines Insurance FP&A – Remote (Requisition No. R7744)

Location:

Remote – Available across the U.S. (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). Candidate may be based in Ohio or other listed states.

Role Overview

Serves as a strategic FP&A partner to the Personal Lines organization, leading complex financial and operational analyses, driving resolution on critical issues, and delivering insights that inform business decisions. Collaborates across functions and with senior leadership to align priorities, address emerging trends, and strengthen the connection between finance and the business.

Responsibilities
  • Support planning, forecasting, reporting, departmental budgeting, project finance, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Develop financial models, what‑if scenarios, and decision‑support analytics to evaluate business tradeoffs, planning assumptions, investment priorities, and financial outcomes.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Personal Lines, Finance, and project teams to translate business drivers, operational trends, and strategic initiatives into clear financial insights and recommendations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and analytical capabilities, including appropriate use of AI and automation tools.
  • Lead peers and provide training and guidance to others.
  • Collaborate with senior level executives to initiate solutions or new approaches to address opportunity trends or significant issues involving financial analysis and planning.
  • Travel as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in‑person meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years supporting FP&A / Treasury functions.
  • Advanced analytical skills to identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Income Statement and Balance Sheet components and their interrelationship.
  • Experience in Balance Sheet reporting and cash forecasting.
  • Experience with data extraction and uploading in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to build trust with business leaders at all levels, drive consensus, and facilitate effective decision‑making.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including business writing.
  • Strategic thinking and understanding of how financial analyses impact broader business objectives.
  • Ability to negotiate, collaborate across functions, and deliver results through others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post‑graduate coursework.
  • Capital management experience in the insurance industry.
  • Oracle experience (preferred).
  • Understanding of insurance industry trends, regulatory requirements, and business practices.
  • Experience with operational models and related reporting software.
Benefits & Compensation

Competitive base salary ($129,825 – $173,150 annually) with eligibility for annual discretionary bonus of up to 12% under the Annual Incentive Plan. 401(k) with company match and total compensation package including bonuses. Remote‑first workplace with flexibility to work from home and in‑person when needed.

Additional Information

Remote work allowed across the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). This role may require occasional travel for meetings. CSAA does not provide visa sponsorship; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
