Job Overview
Posting Type Hybrid Job Overview The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting is responsible for leading the research, analysis, and implementation of complex accounting matters in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role partners cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with evolving accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Research, analyze, and implement complex accounting matters; support transaction support including acquisitions, restructurings, financing arrangements.
- Provide accounting guidance for significant or non-routine transactions, manage acquisition accounting, support due diligence efforts on potential acquisition targets.
- Serve as liaison with external auditors, support SOX compliance and internal control initiatives related to technical accounting.
- Support month end close tasks including review of journal entries and reconciliations.
- Manage and develop a team, drive process improvements, enhance documentation standards, provide training to accounting and finance teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)
- 6+ years of relevant experience (public accounting + industry experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP requirements, experience with complex accounting areas, proven ability to research and document technical accounting positions
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Big 4 or national public accounting firm experience
- Experience in a publicly traded or high-growth company
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Workday) and financial reporting tools
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices. This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between $126,000 and $190,000.
The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
