Role Overview

Financial advisors partner with clients to help them achieve long‑term financial goals: retirement, building wealth, estate strategies, funding education, and more. As an Edward Jones financial advisor, you’ll develop and grow your own practice, supported by your branch team, a home‑office team, and other regional advisors. This role provides an opportunity to serve a diverse client base while leveraging over a century of industry experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, speaking engagements).
  • Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies to help them achieve their goals.
  • Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
  • Create a highly engaging environment in the branch of mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.

Licensing Requirements
  • SIE (obtained without firm sponsorship), Series 7 and Series 66 required; if not registered, registrations obtainable during paid study period.
  • FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses required.
  • Ongoing training and regulatory CE to maintain license standing.
Skills & Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience in securities/financial services; financial services and/or sales experience; financial services registration, licensing, or certification; professional or military career progression.

Compensation

Supplemental starting salary range $45,000 – $100,000. Additional compensation includes trainee pay, supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and compensation for new assets gathered in the first five years.
