Role Description

This role works closely with our lead wealth advisors to build and implement the high-impact financial and tax planning work we do for clients, including building financial plans, tax projections, and estate analysis. During tax season, this position takes a lead role on our newly introduced tax return preparation service, leveraging AI tools to prepare and review client tax returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage programs and tools such as eMoney, Holistiplan, , and others to build financial plans, model estate plans, analyze tax returns, and create projections to help develop recommendations for client actions
  • Take a lead role on our newly introduced tax return preparation service, leveraging AI tools to prepare and review client tax returns accurately and efficiently
  • Partner with lead advisors on tax-aware planning decisions:
    Roth conversions, ESPP timing, RSU sales, charitable strategies, retirement income sequencing
  • Prepare client meeting materials: agendas, plan updates, scenario comparisons, and action items
  • Coordinate the implementation of planning recommendations between client meetings, partnering with the operations team on execution. Examples include Roth conversions, charitable giving strategies, and RMD planning
  • Communicate with clients in a professional, warm, and timely manner regarding planning and tax matters
  • Identify opportunities and contribute ideas to improve processes, refine the client experience, and enhance the firm's planning and tax work as we grow
Qualifications
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Strong sense of ownership and follow-through, with comfort being the person clients and advisors rely on to drive work to completion, especially during tax season
  • 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in financial planning, tax, or a related field. Recent graduates with strong relevant internship or coursework experience are also welcome to apply
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and confidently with clients and colleagues
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and comfort learning new systems
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Desire to pursue the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, with full financial support from the firm. The CFP designation is a core part of this role's growth path
  • Willingness to obtain necessary securities licenses upon joining (if not already licensed). The firm supports the licensing process
  • EA or CPA designation is encouraged for those interested in deeper tax specialization, but optional
Work Structure
  • Hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday and optional remote work on Mondays and Fridays
Compensation
  • Target total compensation of $90,000 to $100,000, including base salary and bonus
  • Base salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Bonus eligibility based on company and individual performance
  • Comprehensive benefits including 85% paid medical/vision, 401(k) matching up to 6% plus an additional 4% company contribution, for a total company contribution of up to 10%, parental leave, free financial planning for employees
