Financial Consultant, Corporate Finance
Do you want to work in M&A with top clients and the best finance professionals? Do you want to deepen your knowledge and experience with M&A and Debt Advisory?
Our client is seeking a Corporate Finance consultant knowledgeable in Debt Advisory. It is an independent European boutique advisory firm with a well‑known name specialising in finance and treasury, holding a prominent position as a financial advisor to major Dutch corporations. This might be your opportunity to work in a mid‑size firm with top professionals!
Due to its significant growth, the company is looking to strengthen the corporate finance/debt advisory team, with vendor diligence experience a prerequisite. In recent years the practice has expanded into mid‑corporate debt advisory and corporate finance advice, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, valuation issues and occasionally providing financing advice. The client offers specialised financial advice at the highest level and has a reputation to uphold.
We are looking for a solid and motivated linchpin who relishes the challenge of advising family‑owned businesses operating nationally and internationally. The ideal candidate aims to further develop the practice, oversee various projects with a passionate team, and act as a point of contact for both clients and junior consultants and analysts.
The firm combines the benefits of a smaller organisation with the professionalism of a larger advisory firm. You will collaborate with enthusiastic and highly educated professionals, have direct client contact and ample opportunity for initiative to directly impact outcomes.
What you will do- Advise and guide companies on valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and (financing) matters.
- Take responsibility for part or the entire advisory process as part of a highly professional team.
- Create analyses, financial models, information memoranda, occasionally negotiate, and prepare transaction documentation.
- Occasionally advise on financing alternatives and structure them.
- Set up and maintain a dataroom for (vendor) due diligence.
- Actively contribute to the further development and growth of the M&A practice and the team's success.
- 3‑6 years of experience in corporate finance or banking, preferably in Debt Advisory (and DD).
- A completed relevant university degree.
- Analytical and numerically oriented with professional experience in financial modelling.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in both Dutch and English.
- An independent self‑starter with entrepreneurial spirit and commercial insight.
- Structured and persistent in your approach.
- Demonstrated success in compact project teams.
- Consider the training of other (junior) staff and supporting your teammates as your responsibility and challenge.
- Knowledge and experience with vendor due diligence processes and familiarity with dataroom set‑ups.
- Eagerly aim to provide clients with high‑quality advice.
- An opportunity to further develop professionally within an experienced team with a solid track record and a strong market position.
- Ample freedom and responsibility.
- A pleasant working environment focused on flexibility, with a good work‑life balance. Working from home is standard at Orchard.
- Negotiable work week between 32 and 40 hours.
- Competitive salary with an attractive bonus.
- Choice of a company car or mobility budget, along with a laptop and phone.
- Standard 25 vacation days, with the option to purchase additional days.
- An excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge in ‘Transaction Services’ to the ‘end‑to‑end M&A process’.
- A dynamic team with regular events.
