Position Summary
This full‑time, permanent, classified position reports directly to the Procure to Pay Manager. The starting salary range is $52,920.00 to $62,892.00, most candidates beginning at $52,920.00. Employees are eligible for one day of remote work per week after a probationary period and are required to maintain consistent attendance.
This position is for internal applicants only; external applications will not be considered.
Essential Functions- Oversee Accounts Payable operations, maintain data accuracy, and perform reconciliations.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures for Accounts Payable business processes.
- Oversee month‑ and year‑end closing processes.
- Review and approve all payments and reports, handle vendor complaints and resolve issues with Purchasing.
- Manage district travel program, review travel documents, administer Corporate Charge Card, reconcile travel sub‑ledger, and respond to travel support tickets.
- Supervise three classified staff positions, oversee hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Complete special projects assigned by the Procure to Pay Manager, Director of Fiscal Operations, or Associate Vice President of Fiscal Services.
- At least 15 quarter or 10 semester hours of college‑level coursework in Finance, Accounting, Business, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- One to two years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience applying GAAP in day‑to‑day work.
- Consent to and pass a criminal background check after a conditional offer.
- Knowledge of GAAP, FERPA, OFM regulations, RCW, SAAM, and FAM.
- Preferred knowledge of GASB fund accounting practices.
- Ability to monitor and review financial data, develop fiscal queries and reports.
- Ability to interpret and explain applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills: MS Excel, MS Word.
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), classified, overtime‑eligible position. The position is permanent after a 6‑month probationary period. Employees may work up to one day of remote work per week after probation. Standard work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours. The position may be reassigned between campuses or sites.
Salary and BenefitsStarting salary range: $52,920.00 to $62,892.00 annually, with potential to increase to $64,440.00. Most candidates begin at $52,920.00. The compensation package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life and long‑term disability insurance, vacation, sick and personal leave, reduced tuition, and retirement benefits.
