Actuary - Remote

Job Overview

One Digital helps over 100,000 employers provide health and insurance solutions. We are looking for an Actuary to analyze risk, pricing, and financial exposure for our insurance products.

• Conduct risk assessments.
• Perform claims and demographic analyses.
• Build predictive models to analyze potential outcomes.
• Recommend investments with the lowest risk for optimal profit.
• Calculate total assets and liabilities.
• Determine financial status after investments.
• Compare actual ROIs with forecasts.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for new investments and funds.
• Develop guides and policies to avoid high-risk investments and associated losses.
• Maintain records of payments, fundings, and underwriting policies.

• Prepare databases, statistical models, presentations, reports.
• Quickly manage large data streams to discern trends.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Thrives in fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of actuarial experience.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python and R.

Base pay range: $110,000 to $120,000 per year.

Variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus may be available based on performance.
