Senior Finance Business Partner – Technology & Risk
We’re hiring an experienced finance professional to join ING’s Tech Finance team. In this high‑impact role, you will partner with senior stakeholders, help steer a technology cost base of around €250million, and turn complexity into clear insights, strong business cases and better decisions.

The Tech Finance team partners with ING’s Global Tech organisation to enable better, faster and more confident business decisions through sharp analysis, forward‑looking insight and trusted advice. Because the team is small, agile and highly visible, this role offers direct exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence decisions that matter.
Responsibilities- Act as a trusted finance sparring partner to senior stakeholders, supporting strategic and tactical decision‑making with insight and challenge.
- Deliver timely, high‑quality reporting and analysis that supports management decisions, with a strong focus on FTE steering, cost optimisation and value creation.
- Advise on operational efficiency, cost modelling, allocation, financial planning and control to improve business performance.
- Monitor cost developments and continuously refine the Rolling Forecast to keep management ahead of risks and opportunities.
- Perform run‑rate analysis, identify efficiency opportunities and build robust business cases for change initiatives and investment decisions.
- Provide clear reporting and insight on actual spend versus plan using standard dashboards and other analytical tools.
- Maintain full oversight of costs and FTEs, including requisition review and approval, cost charging and analytical control.
- Support the implementation of organisational structure changes, including info memos, RFAs and budget transfers.
- Review and advise on balance sheet positions, including restructuring and impairment assessments where required.
- Current residency in the Netherlands, Poland or Romania.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in finance business partnering, business control or a comparable role in a complex environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of seniority.
- Organisational sensitivity, sound judgement and confidence to navigate complexity and constructive challenge.
- A proactive, curious mindset and a drive to continuously improve.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to turn data into insight, insight into action, and action into better business decisions.
- Salary tailored to your qualities and experience (6,728 to 10,753/month, 36 or 40‑hour workweek).
- Individual leave: 24+2 individual holiday days based on a 36‑hour workweek.
