On behalf of our client, a prestigious, highly respected Swiss corporate group with deep roots in the premium healthcare and service sector, we are searching for an analytical, delivery-focused Group Accountant (80-100%).
Based in their modern corporate office in the Zürich (Glattpark) area, this role offers a sophisticated hybrid working model. You will join a highly professional Group Finance team responsible for driving technical excellence in financial reporting, complex consolidations, and pioneering major upcoming regulatory transitions.
The Core MissionIn this role, you will look beyond standard day-to-day accounting. You will take ownership of the external and internal financial reporting under IFRS and actively drive the technical consolidation of Swiss subsidiaries. Crucially, you will act as a key project lead for critical accounting changes, specifically spearheading the framework adaptations and comparative data preparation for the upcoming IFRS 18 implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Group Consolidation & Reporting:
Execute quarterly and annual technical consolidations of Swiss subsidiaries using SAP Group Reporting (SAP-GR). - Financial Statements:
Prepare the IFRS group financial statements, ensuring absolute compliance and high-quality disclosures for corporate management. - Project Leadership & IFRS Transitions:
Lead strategic accounting projects, including the management of IFRS 16 (via SAP RE-FX) and the immediate strategic preparation/restructuring of 2026 comparative financial data in anticipation of the new IFRS 18 standard. - Stakeholder Advisory:
Act as a trusted technical advisor to local finance directors and corporate stakeholders regarding complex IFRS accounting questions and group guidelines. - Process Optimization:
Continuously refine accounting processes, data flows, and system architecture within the SAP-GR environment.
Your Profile
To be successful in this highly visible role, you must possess a strong "hands-on" mentality balanced with strategic agility. The ideal candidate meets the following criteria:
- Top-Tier Certification:
Completed Dipl. Wirtschaftsprüfer (Swiss CPA) or Eidg. dipl. Expertin/Experte in Rechnungslegung & Controlling (or equivalent international qualification like ACCA/ACA). - Technical Accounting Expertise:
Strong foundational background in a Big 4 environment or a complex, multi-entity Swiss corporate group. - Systems Fluency:
Deep practical experience with SAP Group Reporting (SAP-GR) is highly advantageous; strong comfort with modern, automated consolidation tools is non-negotiable. - Advanced IFRS Knowledge:
Deep technical mastery of IFRS (specifically IFRS 16). Exposure to or strong readiness to master the new IFRS 18 classification and presentation rules is a major asset. - Language Proficiency:
