We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with the overall operations of Resolver’s financial processes. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger and supporting the organization by enabling the finance team to provide accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting (55%)

Measures of Success:
Revenue recognized accurately and on time; commissions reconciled and processed within the close calendar; payroll posted on schedule; audit completed with immaterial adjustments; financial statements delivered to deadline.

  • Owns the end-to-end PS revenue close cycle.
  • Owns the deferred revenue bridge.
  • Updates services forecasting for revenue and expenses; prepares services expense commentary and MTM analysis.
  • Owns SaaS recurring revenue journal entries on a monthly basis, including deferred revenue, revenue recognized, and billings reconciliation, ensuring all balances are accurate and complete.
  • Owns the full commissions cycle: reviews commission calculations in Xactly.
  • Maintains the commissions spreadsheet including onboarding new sales employees; reconciles commissions accrual vs. actuals.
  • Consults on the structure and feasibility of commission plans from a process and systems perspective, ensuring proposed plan designs can be tracked, calculated, and administered.

Financial Operations (40%)

Measures of Success:
Quality and timeliness of journal reviews; accuracy and completeness of integration data; initiative and caliber of process improvements.

  • Administers global payroll across all entities, managing the end-to-end payroll process for all jurisdictions.
  • Responsible for all global payroll statutory and compliance filings, ensuring obligations across all entities and jurisdictions are met accurately and on time.
  • Reviews and approves journal entries prepared by the Intermediate Accountant and Accounting Coordinator for completeness and accuracy.
  • Manages the Mavenlink/Intacct integration: reconciles the TM tracker, oversees project invoicing, and adds new services employees to integrations as needed.
  • Analyzes the impact of business changes and recommends appropriate accounting policies and procedures; proactively drives process improvement across Finance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent)
  • Accounting designation required (CPA, CA)
  • Experience as a Senior Accountant or in a finance management role.
  • Experience working with IFRS is required.
  • Experience with analyzing or implementing Finance/Accounting internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills (modeling, V-lookup, pivot tables, complex formulas)
  • Experience with Intacct, Salesforce, Concur, and Xactly is an asset.

Salary range: $95K-$110K.
