We are seeking an experienced AML/KYC professional to join a leading financial institution, supporting the onboarding and due diligence of High Net Worth (HNW) clients.

This is an individual contributor (IC) role within the Advisory & KYC function, where you will be part of a well-established team of 15 compliance professionals. The role is responsible for conducting in-depth due diligence reviews, validating Source of Wealth information, assessing financial crime risks, and ensuring compliance with AML/CFT regulations and internal policies.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, compliance teams, and senior management to support risk-based onboarding decisions for high-risk and HNW clientele.

Working Arrangement
  • Hybrid work arrangement: 4 days work-from-office, 1 day work-from-home
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding reviews for High Net Worth (HNW) and high-risk clients.
  • Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) assessments.
  • Perform detailed Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) corroboration and validation.
  • Review sanctions screening, politically exposed person (PEP) alerts, adverse media findings, and other AML-related risks.
  • Assess customer risk profiles and determine appropriate risk ratings.
  • Escalate high-risk cases and obtain relevant management approvals where required.
  • Provide AML/CFT advisory support to business units and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with MAS AML Notices, Guidelines, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in policy reviews, regulatory initiatives, and process improvement projects.
Requirements Mandatory Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience conducting AML due diligence for High Net Worth (HNW) client onboarding.
  • Proven hands‑on experience performing Source of Wealth (SoW) corroboration and assessment.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and customer risk assessments.
Preferred Background
  • Experience gained within Private Banking, Wealth Management, Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services environments.
  • Private Banking experience will be highly advantageous.
  • AML/CFT professional certifications (e.g. CAMS, ICA or equivalent) are preferred.

Candidates with only general KYC, AML, CFT, transaction monitoring, or sanctions screening experience without direct High Net Worth (HNW) onboarding and Source of Wealth corroboration experience will not be suitable for this position.
