Senior Manager, Business Management Tax Services

Job Responsibilities

• Review of Corporate, Partnership, Trust, and Individual tax returns for Entertainment Industry professionals, athletes, high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, and all related entities.
• Conduct online tax research.
• Perform accounting work required for tax returns.
• Develop and nurture long‑term relationships with clients.
• Design solutions for clients and champion implementation of ideas.
• Review and confirm assignment objectives, scope, and work plan with client.
• Identify assignment resource requirements and assign appropriate resources.
• Anticipate, identify, and resolve complex assignment issues.
• Seek regular client feedback on assignment progress and overall performance.
• Manage groups to ensure short‑ and long‑term profitability.
• Support partner team in developing new delivery capabilities or channels to meet evolving market needs.
• Assist partner team in practice‑unit strategy, objectives, and budget planning.
• Identify and develop initiatives to increase retention, meet resourcing needs, utilization, and people development.
• Mentor key talent using strong coaching skills.
• Share and transfer knowledge and skills to the team.
• Engage in ongoing personal development in line with the competency model.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Active CPA license.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive U.S. tax compliance and consulting experience in public accounting, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Experience with high‑net‑worth individuals, entertainers, athletes, family offices, and related entities (corporations, partnerships, trusts, individuals).
• Experience with multi‑state and foreign tax returns.
• Proven track record of managing multiple complex client engagements simultaneously and ensuring timely delivery.
• Hands‑on experience with tax preparation and review software.
• Strong project management skills, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and deadline management.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non‑tax professionals.
• Strong client service orientation with a proven ability to retain and grow client relationships.
• Flexibility to work from home while collaborating in person half the time.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation, or JD/LLM in Tax.
• Demonstrated success in business development (lead generation, expanding client relationships, or securing new engagements).

Salary ranges vary by location:
Colorado – $140,100 to $190,900;
Washington, Illinois, New York, Southern California – $154,200 to $210,000;
Northern California – $161,100 to $219,500. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
