The University of Michigan Investment Office is responsible for directing and overseeing the investment of the University's $22+ billion of financial reserves, which includes the 9th largest university endowment. The Investment Office staff works with many of the top investment managers globally to provide the financial resources necessary to ensure the long-term success of one of the world's great teaching and research institutions.

Job Summary

The Investment Office at the University of Michigan is seeking a full-time intern to join our team on-site for Summer 2026. You will refine and strengthen your skills in finance and investing, data analysis, and project management.

Responsibilities
* * Support the Venture Capital and Private Equity team by conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses on investment performance and underlying portfolio data.

* Evaluate existing workflows and implement automated solutions to streamline reporting, enhance data collection, and improve operational efficiency.

* Monitor portfolio company metrics and fund performance to help the team track investment outcomes.

Required Qualifications
* * Pursuing an undergraduate degree, with a demonstrated interest in computer science, finance, economics, investing, or business management

* Conceptualize and present quantitative and qualitative information

* Multi-task and prioritize work with the ability to work independently

* Team-oriented

* Attention to detail

* Experience with Microsoft Suite

* Maintain strict confidentiality requirements
