Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. ("Dovenmuehle") is the leading mortgage subservicing firm in the United States with several hundred financial institution clients nationwide.
General Description:
Perform reconciliation of expenses on defaulted mortgage loans to generate the realized loss/gain statement, analyzing loan level data, validating accuracy, and remedying any errors. Performance must comply with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
Essential Functions and Duties:
• Gather all settled claims and all relevant backup documentation.
• Review settled claims for accuracy of the expenses claimed vs paid, curtailed, or not paid (denied).
• Prepare and submit request(s) for reimbursement to vendors.
• Ensure all claims are calculated and completed within insurer/investor guidelines, regulations, applicable laws, and company policies/procedures.
• Evaluate claims processing and track inconsistencies and report to the management.
• Identify gaps in the department/company's processes to improve accuracy and efficiency of said processes.
• Reconcile, notate, and report discrepancies found in documentation and claims.
• Timely and accurately update internal/external databases and systems or records.
• Ensure documents are imaged within company guidelines.
• Follow-up on caseload issues, through to resolution, escalating when necessary.
• Use established procedures to communicate regularly with leadership on status of issues.
• Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with clients and other employees and maintain those relationships over time.
• Willingness to learn new skills and expand job knowledge, through various learning programs, as assigned by leadership.
• Comply with the Code of Conduct and successfully completes annual regulatory training requirements.
• Complete applicable industry-related training.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced PC skills:
Microsoft applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail/accuracy.
• Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The employee must be comfortable in either an on-site office setting, or a quiet, designated work from home space that is free from distractions and noise.
