Business Banking Officer
As a Business Banking Officer, you will actively pursue business relationships for NBH Bank, providing a full range of banking services with an emphasis on loan and deposit business products. Your focus will be on earning 100% of the client’s relationship, especially government‑guaranteed loans (primarily SBA 7a and 504). You will collaborate with the bank’s SBA department on production, pipeline, and closings, proactively call on clients, prospects, and referral sources to ensure maximum results, and acquire, expand, and retain business banking relationships with a focus on deposit, treasury, and business lending growth.
You will also manage and review business loans, monitor portfolio performance, resolve borrower issues, and promote the bank’s image through community participation. Your responsibilities include building referral contacts within the community, leading the center’s sales goals, developing staff objectives, and ensuring cross‑sales and high service quality to maintain client satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5+ years of successful commercial or small business lending.
- 5+ years of banking experience.
- 5+ years of successful business‑to‑business development experience.
- Working knowledge of SBA products, SOPs, forms, documents, and eligibility requirements.
- Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 7+ years of successful commercial or small business lending.
- 9+ years of banking experience.
- Completion of a bank training or formal credit training program.
- Strong credit background with ability to analyze financial statements, underwrite loans, and prepare loan presentations for credit committees.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with clear, concise articulation.
- Creative problem‑solving and resourcefulness.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build team cohesiveness.
- Collaborative mindset and effective multitasking.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Overtime may be required to a limited extent (typically no more than 5%). Flexible scheduling and occasional remote work are possible.
