About this roleThe Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for the written analysis and underwriting of the creditworthiness of new loan proposals as well as existing loans, identifying credit policy exceptions and other credit issues to protect the asset quality of the Bank’s commercial loans.
In this role you will- Support the Bank’s People First focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, and providing all clients excellent service.
- Prepare credit analyses for loan requests, including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis (including third-party reports), risk rating recommendations, trend analysis, and identifying the proposed credit’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Prepare written recommendations as to whether proposed loans should be approved as presented or provide alternate loan structure recommendations as appropriate.
- Prepare financial statement spreadsheets that include measurement of various financial ratio trends to evaluate financial status.
- Assist the Commercial Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers with the completion of annual loan reviews, as required.
- Mentor and guide Credit Analysts and Junior Credit Analysts.
- Assist in the annual financial statement follow-up to borrowers; track and monitor the Bank’s receipt of this information.
- Order flood search as appropriate.
- Strong People First interest and ability.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and credit concepts.
- Credit training.
- Basic knowledge of loan types and loan structures.
- Working knowledge of the nCino platform is preferred.
- Experience in CRE Lending
