Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000 + Bonus
About the OpportunityOur client, a growing North American leader in the manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting team. Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant will be an integral member of the Finance Shared Services team with a primary focus on treasury operations. This role is responsible for daily banking activities, treasury accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting support, audit assistance, and process improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, treasury experience or exposure, advanced Excel skills, and a desire to build expertise within treasury operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily treasury and banking activities, including monitoring cash balances and processing wire and ACH transactions
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries related to treasury and general accounting activities
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper account classifications
- Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial schedules, reports, and supporting documentation
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Compile and analyze financial data for management reporting and compliance requirements
- Participate in system testing, process improvements, and automation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and established procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of general accounting experience
- 1–2 years of treasury experience or significant treasury exposure
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems; manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hybrid schedule with two work-from-home days per week
