The Loan Officer Assistant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lee's Summit, MO, with flexibility to work from home. This position supports Loan Officers throughout the loan origination process by gathering and organizing borrower documentation, inputting data into loan systems, and helping prepare files for underwriting. The role includes coordinating with borrowers, real estate professionals, and internal teams to obtain required information, update statuses, and ensure timely communication.
The Loan Officer Assistant monitors key milestones, follows up on outstanding conditions, and helps maintain accurate records to support a smooth and compliant loan process. This role also assists with general administrative tasks, such as scheduling, file maintenance, and responding to customer inquiries in a professional, service-oriented manner.
- Experience supporting Loan Officers and familiarity with the mortgage loan origination process.
- Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry, including basic loan products, documentation requirements, and regulatory considerations.
- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and clear borrower guidance.
- Basic understanding of Underwriting concepts, loan file completeness, and documentation quality standards.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with common office software and loan origination systems (or ability to learn new systems quickly).
- At least 1 year of experience as an LO or LOA is required.
