We are looking for a new colleague in an open and dynamic team operating in an international environment. The Loan Distribution Group (LDG) is a core pillar of Capital Markets & Advisory and a key driver of ING’s Capital Velocity strategy. LDG has presence in multiple cities with approximately 100 FTEs. ING is a leading bank in the global market for Project & Asset Based Finance, especially in EMEA, supporting clients with complex financing solutions.
The team plays a driver’s seat of the syndication process, acting as Lead Coordinator or Underwriter on large transactions across sectors such as infrastructure, transport, energy, and digital infrastructure.
Play an active role in the origination, structuring, underwriting and execution of syndicated P&A BF loan transactions in EMEA.
- Contribute to the origination, structuring and negotiation of syndicated loans.
- Support in delivering the best customer experience to clients.
- Identify and maintain relationships with financial institutions and ensure smooth distribution of transactions.
- Actively track and interpret loan market dynamics, translate into market updates and provide up‑to‑date investor intelligence.
- Prepare loan syndicate advices supporting primary sale of syndicated loans (loan market analysis, credit structure opinion, bank appetite, sell‑down strategy and pricing).
- Own key work streams in execution of syndicated loans, such as negotiating terms and conditions (term sheets, mandate letters, long‑form documentation, etc.).
- Prepare syndication materials, coordinate Q&A with banks and maintain active dialogue with loan investors.
- Organise virtual bank meetings in collaboration with the Loan Sales team to generate demand for deals coordinated and/or underwritten by ING.
- Support and progressively take ownership of execution and closing of syndicated loan transactions.
- Take responsibility for market intelligence materials and contribute to platform innovations for future proofing the Loan Syndicate team.
- 5‑8 years of relevant experience in originating and structuring syndicated loans, preferably in a sector coverage team, loan syndication function, or lending‑focused team.
- Systematic problem‑solving skills and ability to handle origination, execution, documentation, and closing details.
- High quality standards, attention to detail, customer and market focus.
- Strong organisational skills; able to multitask, plan ahead, and prioritise competing demands under tight deadlines.
- Effective coach: mentorship of junior staff, monitoring quality and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written English and proficiency in Microsoft tools.
- Curious, energetic, flexible, self‑starting mindset, and a willingness to take initiative.
- 25‑28 vacation days, depending on contract.
- Pension scheme.
- 13th month salary.
- 8% holiday payment.
- Hybrid working: a mix of office and remote work, with possibility to work remotely outside the Netherlands for up to 20 business days annually.
- Personal growth and challenging work in a diverse international environment.
- Regular interaction with clients and investment professionals to develop transaction experience and market knowledge.
