Summary:
As a Senior Associate in the Public Interest Entities team in the Indirect Tax department at PwC, you work on the tax position of listed multinational organizations operating within Europe or worldwide in various sectors. You ensure that our clients are in control of indirect taxes, providing advice on the rules, brainstorming about optimization, and implementing business processes.
- Act as a VAT specialist in the ITX PIE team, solving complex VAT issues for international clients.
- Engage with colleagues across other (tax) disciplines on large international merger and acquisition processes and collaborate with PwC offices worldwide.
- Keep clients informed about relevant VAT developments or issues, provide advice, and maintain ongoing dialogue about VAT matters and other related concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other tax areas to deliver multidisciplinary support and optimize the international VAT position or cross-border supply chains for clients.
- Contribute to drafting objection and appeal letters and participate in discussions with Tax Authorities.
- Explore opportunities to leverage technology (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI) to improve efficiency for clients and the team.
- Optionally specialize in a specific region (e.g., the US or Asia) or sector to become a broader discussion partner based on business, sector, and societal developments.
- Contribute to ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) topics for clients and understand how work impacts society.
- A completed university degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics.
- At least 2 years of relevant VAT work experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technological solutions, such as Alteryx and Power BI.
- A good command of the Dutch and/or English language.
