Please note: Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Cape Town.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a dynamic team. If you have a strong collections background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to recover outstanding debt while maintaining positive client relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Contact customers (Internationally and Local) via phone and email regarding due and overdue accounts
- Monitor and manage outstanding debtors' accounts
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and account queries
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and collection activities
- Escalate complex or unresolved matters when necessary
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account-related issues
- Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
- 2–5 years' experience in debt collection, accounts receivable, or debtors administration
- Previous experience within a legal or law firm environment is highly advantageous
- Certificate or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is beneficial
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience working with Net Suite and/or Salesforce will be highly advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities
- Ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Collection recovery rates
- Reduction of overdue accounts
- Productivity and customer contact activity
- Compliance and accuracy standards
- Timely resolution of account disputes
