Job Overview
Reports to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting. The role is responsible for the production, delivery, and oversight of regulatory documents related to mutual funds and exchange traded funds.
Responsibilities- Produce regulatory deliverables such as prospectuses, fund facts, ETF facts, financial statements, management reports of fund performance, quarterly portfolio disclosures, and annual reminders.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams – Fund Valuations, Product Development, Total Investment Solutions, Business Management, Legal, Compliance, Taxation, and Client Services – and external vendors to ensure that deliverables meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate translation resources to provide documents in both official languages, ensuring consistency with CIBC standards.
- Oversee project cost, timeline, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain document accessibility and quality, performing copy editing, formatting checks, and post‑mortem reviews.
- Manage end‑to‑end process activities including project planning, stakeholder sign‑off, web posting, and distribution to unit holders.
- Lead or participate in miscellaneous regulatory projects such as accrual and invoicing, adapting to stretch assignments as needed.
- Adapt to unpredictable deadlines and occasionally required extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Compliance or regulatory experience with knowledge of standards such as NI 81-101, NI 81-106, and NI 41-101.
- Advanced analytical writing and critical‑thinking skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors or inconsistencies.
- Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage cross‑functional projects.
- Comfort working under tight deadlines and the flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Annualized base salary range: $66,090 to $85,550.
- Participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.
