Senior Accountant, Public Entity Client

Responsibilities

• Provide back office support for a large asset manager, including budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, cost accounting, general journal preparation and general ledger maintenance, internal controls & compliance support, and support for external audit requests as they arise.
• Plan, prepare, and execute financial statements (quarterly and annually) for management review and queries as applicable.
• Work closely with clients to deliver exceptional client service.
• Provide solutions to clients on current business and financial issues.
• Mentor and train junior team members.

• University Degree or Diploma with a concentration in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of public company experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven problem‑solving ability with solid analytical skills.
• Strong technical experience in accounting and tax.
• Strong working knowledge of the MS Office suite and ability to learn new technology tools.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 is an asset.

Salary range: $62,300 to $85,700 in Toronto; ranges may vary for other locations.
