A newly formed, AI‑native investment team building and applying advanced AI technologies to deliver superior investment performance. We are a collaborative and cross‑functional team of investors, data scientists, and technologists, using AI to reimagine fundamental investing.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a Quantitative Analyst to help build the quantitative and analytical backbone of our proprietary Gen AI‑powered fundamental investment process. Your work on quantitative portfolio construction and risk management will contribute directly to investment decisions and portfolio outcomes.
ImpactYou will be instrumental in building the quantitative foundation of the AAG team. You will define how quantitative techniques and generative AI work together in a modern fundamental investment process. Your work will shape the following:
- How risk is measured and analyzed in an AI‑native portfolio.
- How portfolios are constructed and optimized using a combination of generative AI capabilities and quantitative techniques.
- How qualitative fundamental insights are systematically scored and compared across companies.
- How alternative and unstructured data is transformed into actionable investment signals.
- How human judgment and AI outputs combine to generate scalable alpha.
- Together with our portfolio managers, design and implement a portfolio construction and risk management framework tailored to an AI‑native fundamental strategy.
- Build, customize, and maintain risk models, including scenario analysis, stress testing, and multi‑factor attribution models.
- Lead performance analytics, attribution, and post‑mortem analysis using both traditional and Gen‑AI‑enhanced approaches.
- Work with our AI engineers to ingest and structure alternative data for AI consumption.
- Develop AI‑driven scoring frameworks to quantify qualitative factors such as management quality, competitive advantage, and strategic positioning.
- Partner with portfolio managers, data scientists, and AI engineers to optimize data pipelines, models, and analytical workflows.
- Translate research outputs into actionable portfolio insights and position‑sizing recommendations.
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
- 3–10 years of experience in quantitative research, portfolio analytics, or risk modelling within asset management.
- Hands‑on experience with portfolio construction and risk modelling for fundamental equity strategies.
- Strong understanding of the fundamental investing process (e.g., valuation methods, idea generation process).
- High proficiency in Python and statistical/data analysis libraries.
- Practical knowledge of generative AI concepts such as RAG, fine‑tuning, multi‑agent systems, and contextual engineering.
- Passion for learning about new developments in Gen AI and how they can be applied to fundamental investing.
- Experience working with alternative or unstructured data sources.
- Demonstrated ability to translate research into real investment decisions.
- Comfortable collaborating with portfolio managers, data scientists, and AI engineers.
- CFA/FRM qualifications will be favourably considered.
