Position Summary:
This role is focused on Fixed Income Cash Products, with significant experience required in Securitized and Credit Products. A Fixed Income Product Controller is responsible for the financial and managerial reporting for fixed‑income trading desks, monitoring transactions, producing Daily P&L, and acting as a primary control function.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly P&L production and analysis, including risk‑based attribution (Volcker, Clean P&L).
- Daily interaction with trading desks and liaison with various areas within the firm (Front Office, Operations, Technology, Middle Office, and Market Risk).
- Enhance efficiency through business process reengineering.
- Complete the month‑end closing process for balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation.
- Review IPV results and address ad‑hoc requests from the desk.
- Participate in Finance initiatives and projects.
- Assess new trades for appropriate valuation, accounting treatment, and disclosure in the financial statements.
- Work with financial control in preparation of key external reports such as disclosures.
- Product Control experience across Securitized Products and Credit.
- CPA or CFA preferred but not required.
- 8+ years of product control experience.
- Maintain a highly controlled operating environment with high attention to detail.
- Fast learner, collaborator, strong analytic and critical thinking skills.
- Highly proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to clearly articulate ideas.
- Accounting or Finance degree required.
Salary:
The expected base salary ranges from $120,000 – $200,000. Salary offers are based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and market factors. Successful candidates are also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
