Operational Finance Lead

Job Summary

Church & Dwight is seeking an Operational Finance Lead to join our Global Markets Group (GMG). The role focuses on cost analytics, operational finance leadership, and process improvement to support our international business.

This hybrid role is based in Ewing, NJ and requires in-person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

• Gather cost inputs from intercompany entities, co-packers, and contract manufacturers.
• Perform detailed variance analysis, identify root causes, and partner with the C&D subsidiary operational finance team to drive data accuracy.
• Present cost-movement insights to leadership and recommend actions to improve margins and operational efficiency.
• Maintain cost master data in ERP and communicate cost changes to stakeholders, ensuring accuracy through regular reviews.
• Provide end-to-end cost estimates for new product development projects, working with R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Marketing to validate feasibility.
• Support the GMG team with cost transparency, scenario modeling, and profitability analytics.
• Own the accuracy, logic, and assumptions within the GMG pricing tool; update cost inputs, FX rates, and corporate assumptions regularly.
• Participate in G2G (Good to Great) projects, track financial benefits, validate savings, and ensure alignment across finance and operations teams.
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies in the current costing process, recommend improvements, and standardize practices across GMG markets.
• Partner with IT to troubleshoot system issues and enhance costing functionality.
• Serve as GMG’s costing subject-matter expert, develop SOPs, user guides, and provide training on costing methods and pricing tools.
• Support global sourcing decisions (e.g., make-vs-buy, footprint changes) with financial models and cost comparisons.
• Participate in cross-functional task forces to address operational or commercial issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• MBA or CMA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in operational finance or Big Four public accounting, ideally in CPG or Pharma.
• Experience supporting global business units and working with international teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI) a plus.

• U.S. base salary range: $92,500-$131,700 (eligible for bonus).
