FIN - Senior Director of Finance and Accounting
Full‑time position in the Finance department of Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS), located at the Main Office in Washington. This senior financial leader is responsible for the overall financial strategy, direction, and integrity of the organization, providing executive‑level guidance to the Executive Team, Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
Competitive Benefits Package Includes- Pay range: $189,900 to $213,800 annually, with potential increases based on experience.

- Oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, payroll, forecasting, and reporting for a complex multi‑layered budget structure. Establish internal controls and real‑time budget tracking systems.
- Lead development of multi‑year financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including scenario planning for funding volatility.
- Evaluate and strengthen revenue diversification and long‑term sustainability across grants, contracts, and earned income; manage relationships with external investment managers.
- Provide leadership and oversight to finance staff; build a high‑performing team and ensure clear expectations, performance monitoring, and professional development.
- Develop and implement financial and accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the organization’s FP&A function, building capabilities for strategic insights, forecasting, and performance measurement.
- Build scalable financial systems; partner with IT to promote integrated processes; promote financial literacy across departments.
- Participate in agency, program, and team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions to support alignment and communication.
- Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field with 5 years of public accounting or behavioral‑health/non‑profit financial leadership, including supervision of finance staff.
- Or Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of similar experience.
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant strongly preferred.

- Ability to interpret strategic financial data and explain complex concepts to non‑finance audiences.
- Capability to diagnose problems, develop solutions, and make sound decisions in resource‑constrained environments.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management and medical billing.
- Experience with revenue diversification strategies and financial modeling for fundraising.
- Understanding of change management principles.

Skills:
Proficient in modern workplace technology, collaboration tools, and business applications. - Additional Requirements:
