Mortgage Loan Originator

Overview

We invite you to join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to service. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, allowing employees to balance in‑office collaboration with remote work. The necessary tools and technology are provided to ensure seamless productivity.

• Assist intermediaries and prospective members with their mortgage lending needs in an efficient, accurate, and professional manner.
• Answer general questions, conduct pre‑qualification, new loan origination, maintain an active pipeline, proactively seek new loan prospects, and provide processing support.
• Proactively solicit mortgage referrals from internal sources (branches, member services, new business development, etc.) and act as subject‑matter expert on first‑mortgages for new and existing members.
• Review and follow up on all first‑mortgage loan referrals, and originate first‑mortgage loans via telephone sales presentations and face‑to‑face interactions as needed, always taking complete loan applications.
• Work with loan processors, underwriters, Realtors, and title attorneys to build teamwork through communication.
• Meet all loan production, service, and quality goals through proactive and responsive self‑sourcing and pipeline management activities.
• Conduct and participate in mortgage‑related promotional events, activities, and seminars, maintaining a strong working knowledge of current trends, compliance requirements, and industry changes.

• Minimum 2 years of recent production experience with conventional saleable purchase‑money loans and purchase transactions from external referral sources.
• Must have and be eligible to maintain an active NMLS license number.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential lending preferred.
• Documented current loan referral sources.
• Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in applying credit‑risk principles to lending recommendations.
• Understanding of financial‑services related products and overall financial‑services operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to routinely work Saturdays.
• Fluency in English required;
  Spanish preferred.
