We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and business-savvy Investment Operations Associate to support our expanding client base and help deliver an exceptional client experience.

Overview

The Investment Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s investment and financial planning operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, highly organized, and possesses strong communication skills. You will assist in managing firm investment operations, client portfolios, executing trades, maintaining compliance, and ensuring seamless account operations. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with advisors and clients in a dynamic and client-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Investment Operations Management
    • Continuously monitor client’s financial situations from both detailed and big picture perspectives
    • Identify gaps or key areas of improvement, any potential risks, mitigations, and value-add suggestions.
    • Forecast and look for emerging trends related to the planning process and client planning model.
    • Provide in-depth analysis on an annual basis on individual fund analytics and overall portfolio performance.
    • Assist with internal workflow system upgrades and development.
  • Processing Accounts
    • Preparing and processing all paperwork needed for investment/advisory accounts.
    • Monitoring, processing and following up on asset transfers and on initial and subsequent funding of advisory accounts.
    • Implementing initial and subsequent asset allocation trades.
    • Executing buy or sell orders and rebalancing orders in Envestnet and maintaining asset allocation.
    • Following up on trade rejects and resolving all trade-related issues.
    • Monitoring holdings for program eligibility and administering advisory accounts.
  • Trading and Investment Functions
    • Advisory & Brokerage Trading:
      Conduct and manage trades for both advisory and brokerage accounts.
    • Rebalancing:
      Regularly rebalance portfolios to maintain the desired asset allocation at direction of Inv Specialist.
    • Cash Management:
      Oversee cash flows within investment accounts.
    • Tax Loss Harvesting: at direction of Inv Specialist execute trades to optimize tax-loss harvesting.
    • Roth Conversion:
      Execute and manage Roth conversions as needed.
    • Financial Plans:
      Run, update, and develop plans for clients
  • Client Service
    • Corresponding with relationship managers to handle advisory related service issues.
    • Providing services and administering advisory products.
    • Accepting redemptions/withdrawals from clients and communicating instructions to home office.
    • Maintaining daily tickler system for account follow-ups and service requirements.
    • Running performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar and NMCIR.
  • Compliance and Administration
    • Administer Compliance Requirements:
      Ensure adherence to all relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
    • CRM and Opportunities Monitoring:
      Utilize CRM systems to monitor opportunities and manage client relationships
    • Track and manage account follow-ups, required service actions, and compliance deadlines.
Core Competencies
  • Knowledge of various account types including trusts, various IRA types, 401(k), defined benefit plans, etc
  • The ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize while managing a highly varied workload.
  • Excel, MS Word, Power Point
  • Execute high quality written and verbal correspondence with clients as well as within the firm.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 License
  • FINRA Series 63
  • WA State Life, Health and Disability
  • 5+ years of experience in investment operations, wealth management, or financial services.

  • Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
