Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati, College of Engineering and Applied Science invites applications for a Financial Administrator 1 (FA1) / Financial Administrator 2 (FA2) position to handle various financial and administrative duties for the College of Engineering and Applied Science. As a Financial Administrator, the role is customer service oriented, self starter, well organized, and able to complete work independently while assisting others and working as a team.
The position reports to the Senior Business Administrator in the Department of Civil & Architectural Engineering & Construction Management.
The role offers flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for candidates residing within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area.
Essential Functions- Coordinate and monitor fiscal administrative duties.
- Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures.
- Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations.
- Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Review and prepare Concur reports for reimbursements and purchasing card transactions.
- Manage and reconcile budget accounts including the preparation of monthly reports.
- May coordinate personnel functions for an operating unit.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field.
- For FA1, four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training may be used in lieu of education.
- For FA2, six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training may be used in lieu of education.
- FA1 requires related finance or accounting experience.
- FA2 requires at least two (2) years of finance or accounting experience.
- Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office products.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Solid customer service skills with a positive attitude.
- Experience in budget management and grant management is preferred.
- Office environment; no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information: FA1 $ 47,800 - $53,100; FA2 $ 57,700 - $64,000.
