Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning, leading, and directing a team of Credit Collectors, managing an accounts receivable portfolio of $25M to $50M in North America. The role aims to drive collection results to achieve business targets, ensure compliance with credit controls and policies, and work closely with the Credit Manager on larger, complex accounts.
Responsibilities Performance Management- Manage and motivate a collection team to drive portfolio performance, reduce DSO, % Current, and 60+ day balances, and meet the monthly cash collection forecast.
- Build solid relationships with customers, sales, branch operations, and staff.
- Design, innovate, challenge processes and act as a change agent within the America’s Credit organization.
- Work with Credit Management on larger, challenging accounts.
- Negotiate and effectively communicate judgment decisions required.
- Timely and accurate analysis of Accounts Receivable results, compare/contrast to forecasts/annual operating plan.
- Prepare monthly reporting, analyze trends, and communicate countermeasures relative to cash collections, disputes, and unapplied cash/credits.
- Present necessary countermeasures to Credit Management and staff on a monthly basis.
- Financial analysis skills to evaluate customer financial statements for account decisions and recommendations.
- Knowledge of lien rights, notice of furnishing within the construction industry.
- Mentor, coach, and provide functional leadership to the collection staff.
- Drive improvements in collection processes; develop controls, and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
- Build bench strength and promote talent across the organization.
- Implement and share best practices across the collection team.
- Maintain and approve time records of direct reports.
- Maintain a robust and effective internal control environment.
- Ensure compliance with the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act related to the Accounts Receivables and its key controls.
- Adhere to Allegion Global Credit & Collection Policy and escheatment policies.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment and management of all accounts receivable related transactions, including tracking and reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Adhere to FICAP, GAAP, and SOX compliance and level of authority matrix.
- Strong leadership, presentation, financial analysis, and communication skills.
- Data management and business partnership skills.
- Working knowledge of construction, distribution, and service industries.
- Extensive managerial experience (4‑6 years) and proven track record of leading a collection function.
- Ability to collaborate across the organization and positively influence business outcomes.
5‑10% travel.
EducationBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred, but related work experience can substitute.

- Expected base salary range: $95,000 to $115,000.
