Job Location:

Job Type: Contract - Must be able to work as a W2 employee of Newbold.
Compensation: $70- $ 75/hour, based on the candidate's skills and experience. No other forms of compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, are offered for this position. Newbold offers health care benefits and other benefits under applicable Federal or State law.
General Job Description: We are seeking an Investor Reporting SME to assess, optimize, and strengthen investor reporting operations within a mortgage servicing environment. This consultant will evaluate current-state reporting processes, remittance workflows, reconciliation practices, reporting controls, and operational procedures while identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Working closely with servicing, accounting, cash operations, and leadership teams, the consultant will provide actionable recommendations, develop supporting documentation, and facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure long-term operational stability and investor reporting readiness.
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years of mortgage servicing investor reporting experience with strong hands-on expertise in ICE MSP.
- Deep knowledge of investor reporting, remittance processing, reconciliations, exception management, and reporting controls across agency and investor portfolios.
- Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and Private Label investor reporting requirements.
- Strong understanding of servicing cash flow, including borrower payments, custodial accounts, investor remittance, suspense activity, reversals, payoffs, curtailments, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience working with MSP investor reporting functionality, reports, workstations, transaction processing, and investor-specific reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to assess reporting setups, identify process gaps, develop controls, and deliver actionable remediation recommendations.
- Experience creating procedures, job aids, training materials, and knowledge-transfer plans; background supporting servicing transfers, conversions, remediation initiatives, or agency reporting environments (preferred).
