Intermediate Tax Specialist

Position: Intermediate Tax Specialist Hybrid Role

This 6-month contract position attracts tax professionals experienced in preparing T1 Personal, T1 Terminal, and T3 Trust returns. Responsibilities include analyzing tax information, managing CRA communications, and identifying tax planning opportunities. This role supports growth and may extend based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file T1 Personal, T1 Terminal, and T3 Trust tax returns

• Gather and analyze tax information from clients and stakeholders

• Identify and suggest post-mortem tax planning strategies

• Review CRA assessments and submit adjustment requests

• Provide support for Graduated Rate Estates and testamentary trusts

Requirements:

• Over 3 years in accounting or tax, estates, or trusts

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance

• Proven experience with T1 and T3 tax returns

• Strong knowledge of Graduated Rate Estates (GREs)

• Familiarity with tax preparation software (Taxprep preferred)
